How booking works, what to prepare and common questions. One-on-one readings are held in Mandarin Chinese; written readings are available in English. If you can't find your answer, just ask me on LINE.

From booking to the end of the reading
Book
On the booking page (in Chinese), choose 30 or 60 minutes, then a time slot. Once you press pay, the slot is held for 10 minutes. Pay the deposit on Portaly (NT$300 or NT$500), go back to the booking page and enter your name and LINE ID, and you're booked. Slots less than 2 hours away can't be booked.
A LINE message the day before
I'll send you the meeting place or the video link. If there's background you'd like me to know first, you can send it then.
At the start: settling the question
You tell me what has been happening, and I'll ask a few questions to find what you most want to know today.
Drawing and reading the cards
I explain how I'm reading the cards you draw. If anything is unclear or you want to ask more, just say so.
The cards: tarot (the 78-card Rider-Waite system), with oracle cards when they help.
At the end: a recap
We finish by going over the main points together. The studio doesn't record audio or video, so you may want to record it yourself and take a photo of the cards. That makes it easier to look back later.
What to prepare

- Think about what you most want to ask about lately. It doesn't have to be a finished question. We can work it out together on the day.
- Write your questions down with the most important first, so you don't forget halfway through. How to sort out your questions
- Online readings: a quiet room, a stable connection and a device that can do video calls.
- You don't need to give your birthday or birth time.
“I only meant to give it a try, but it was quite accurate. I felt understood and found my blind spots, and now I feel I can find the courage to keep going. If you feel lost in life, come and talk. You might find a different way forward!”
Before you book
It's my first reading and I don't know what to ask. Is that OK?
Yes. Tell me what has been bothering you lately and we'll work out the question together.
If you'd like to prepare, see Not sure how to ask a tarot question?
How do I choose between 30 and 60 minutes?
If there's one main thing you want to ask, 30 minutes is enough. If things are more complicated, you have different topics, or you want to compare two or three options, choose 60 minutes.
For 30 minutes you could list about 10 questions, and about 20 for 60 minutes. That's only a guide for preparing. On the day we'll pace it by how complex the questions are.
Do I need to give my birthday or birth time?
No. A tarot reading only needs your question.
What information do you need from me?
To book, I need a name to call you and a way to contact you. The reading itself doesn't need birth data. For online and written readings, please also tell me the name you usually go by and the city you live in now. In-person readings need nothing else.
Can I ask questions like "Do they love me?"
Yes, just ask. After the reading you can also ask, "So what can I do?" I'll tell you what I think, and what you do with it is still your decision.
I'm not sure which plan fits my question.
If you have a specific question but aren't sure where to start, a Deep Focus written reading usually fits. If you'd rather talk in person or by video, choose a 30-minute one-on-one reading.
Is there an option without meeting or a video call?
Yes, a written reading, available in English: Deep Focus NT$1,580, Vision Compass NT$3,600, Year Ahead NT$1,800, and Year Ahead with month-by-month readings NT$4,200. See readings and prices.
On the day
What's the difference between online and in person?
We cover the same ground either way. In-person readings are near Guting, Gongguan, Wanlong or Jingmei MRT stations in Taipei. There's no fixed shop, so I'll send the exact place on LINE the day before. Online readings are by video, and I'll send the link the day before. One-on-one readings are held in Mandarin Chinese.
Is it bad to draw Death or The Tower?
Not necessarily. These cards can open a conversation about change, but they don't decide whether a relationship or a job should end. I don't read in a way meant to frighten you, and I don't sell remedies. See Drawing Death or The Tower reversed.
Do you record the session?
I don't record audio or video. You're welcome to record it yourself and photograph the cards, so you can look back at it later.
Is tarot accurate?
I read from the cards and what you tell me about your situation, and so far clients have told me the readings were accurate. You can compare the reading with what actually happens, and tell me if you see it differently. My thoughts are in Is tarot accurate?
Payment and rescheduling
How do I pay?
The deposit is paid online through Portaly (NT$300 for 30 minutes, NT$500 for 60 minutes). The balance: in person, paid in cash after the reading; for online readings, please transfer the balance before we start, and we begin once it has been received.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Each booking can be rescheduled once, whether it's more or less than 48 hours before the appointment. Contact me through the official LINE account; the time your message is sent is what counts. If you cancel, the deposit isn't refunded, but you can reschedule once first. If you don't show up, the deposit isn't refunded. If I cancel, the deposit is refunded in full. See the booking and rescheduling terms.
I paid the deposit but can't get a slot. What now?
You choose the slot before paying, and it's held for 10 minutes once you press pay. If you pay after that, the deposit is still valid. If your slot has been taken, the page will ask you to choose another, with no need to pay again. If no slot works, message me on the official LINE account with the name or order details you paid with, and we'll sort it out together.
How long does a written reading take?
Within 7 days of confirming payment and receiving your question, I'll send you a PDF through the official LINE account. Within 7 days of receiving it, you can ask one follow-up question about the reading, and I'll reply in writing.
Safety and privacy
How can I tell it's really Pentacles Studio's official account?
These are the only official channels:
Will what I say be made public?
No. What we talk about stays private. If I ever use a case in an article, I remove anything that could identify you and ask for your permission first.
If you'd like to ask about your own situation, you can book here.
